Setting up your BrilliSIM eSIM on iPhone
iPhone XS, XR, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and SE 2020+
Before you start
- Connect to Wi-Fi before you begin.
- Your iPhone must be XS or newer.
- Install before your trip; activation starts on first network connection at destination.
- Data Roaming should be ON for the eSIM line.
Method 1: Easy install (fastest)
- On your order confirmation page or email, tap the "Install eSIM" button
- Your iPhone opens Settings automatically with the plan ready to add
- Tap Add Cellular Plan
- Choose a label like "Travel" or "BrilliSIM"
- Keep your existing line as default for calls and texts
- Select the new eSIM line for Cellular Data
Method 2: QR code
- Open your iPhone's Camera app
- Point it at the eSIM QR code shown on your order page or in your confirmation email
- Tap the "Cellular Plan Detected" notification
- Tap Continue on Add eSIM
- Tap Add Cellular Plan
- Choose a label like "Travel" or "BrilliSIM"
- Keep your existing line as default for calls and texts
- Select the new eSIM line for Cellular Data
Method 3: Activation code (manual)
- Go to Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data)
- Tap Add Cellular Plan → Enter Details Manually
- Enter the SM-DP+ Address from your order page
- Enter the Activation Code from your order page
- Tap Next and follow the prompts to complete setup
- Choose a label and set the eSIM as your Cellular Data line
Troubleshooting
- QR code won't scan
Use the built-in Camera app, increase brightness on the QR screen, and confirm the code has not been used before.
- "Install eSIM" button does not open Settings
Make sure you are opening the link on the iPhone itself. If it still does not work, use the QR code or enter the activation code manually.
- Cannot Add eSIM
Check your model supports eSIM and that you have not reached your active-line limit.
- No signal at destination
Toggle Airplane Mode, confirm Data Roaming is ON for the eSIM line, then restart your iPhone.
