Setting up your BrilliSIM eSIM on Android

OnePlus, Xiaomi, Motorola, Oppo, Sony, and other eSIM-capable Android phones

Before you start

  • Menu names and paths vary between Android manufacturers and software versions.
  • Confirm your specific model supports eSIM — check our compatible devices page if unsure.
  • Connect to Wi-Fi before beginning installation.
  • Your physical SIM stays active alongside the eSIM.

General install steps

  1. Open Settings
  2. Look for one of: Network & Internet → SIMs, Connections → SIM Manager, Mobile Network → SIM Management, or SIM cards & mobile networks
  3. Tap Add eSIM, Add SIM, or Download SIM
  4. Select Scan QR code
  5. Point your camera at the QR code from your order confirmation
  6. Wait for the eSIM profile to download (30–60 seconds)
  7. Confirm installation and name the plan (e.g., "Travel Data")
  8. Set the eSIM as your mobile data line

Brand-specific notes

  • OnePlus: Settings → Mobile Network → SIM Management → Add eSIM. Available on OnePlus 10 Pro and newer (region dependent).
  • Xiaomi: Settings → SIM cards & mobile networks → Add eSIM. Available on Xiaomi 13 series and newer (model and region dependent).
  • Motorola: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Add SIM. Available on Razr series and Edge 40+.
  • Oppo: Settings → SIM Card & Mobile Data → Add eSIM. Available on Find X5 Pro and newer.
  • Sony: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Add. Available on Xperia 1 IV and newer.

Troubleshooting

No "Add eSIM" option visible

Your model or region may not support eSIM. Check your manufacturer's specifications or our compatible devices page.

QR code scan fails

Ensure good lighting, a stable camera, and that the QR code has not been used before. Try increasing screen brightness on the device displaying the code.

eSIM installed but no data at destination

Confirm the eSIM line is enabled for mobile data, turn on Data Roaming, toggle Airplane Mode on and off, and restart your phone.
